A brief history of Rockfield

Established in 1985, Rockfield has grown from strength to strength, with two international centres and 32 staff, our software and solutions are used world wide by organisations big and small. 

1987

Rockfield's very first Finite Element software package Microfield is launched

1990

Paradyne – Nuclear Transport container software package launched

1992

Rockfield launches its IPGR funded Glass forming and stress modelling package

1994

ELFEN is born with 2D & 3D capability for generic Finite Element Analysis

1996

Adaptive remeshing is developed into the ELFEN software package

1998

Rockfield pioneers Discrete Element Finite Element technology

1999

Rockfield releases its Can Forming Customisation module within ELFEN

2003

Rockfield engages with Devonport Royal Dockyard and Nuclear Inspectorate to evaluate Safety Critical Structures
